Meyer Lemon Tree Planting
instructions:
- When you receive this
plant, soak the roots in regular cold water for 3-5 hours in a bucket large
enough to cover all the roots. Let the plant Revive itself.
- Plant right away.
- Protect plant roots: Don't
expose roots to sun or air. Keep covered with wet burlap or a towel. If you
don’t plant right away.
- Plant tree in a 12-14 inch
diameter pot 3-5 gallon pot with well-draining plastic or clay with a saucer
beneath. Make sure the holes are big so the water can easily drain. You
don’t want to drown your tree.
- Use a commercial potting
soil. Our choice is Peters or Miracle Grow 5lb bag for about $7 at Wal-Mart or
at any local garden center.

Keep tree outside on warm
sunny days 50-55. Bring inside when temperature fall below 32 degrees.
Water then let dry completely
out before watering again. See website above.

Transplant shock is
quite common with bareroot mail-ordered plants. Do not be alarmed if some or all
leaves drop shortly after your new tree is potted. If you follow our growing
instructions, your tree will sprout new growth within a short period. Recovery
may take longer during winter months.
What happens if my plants
arrive damaged?
Nursery stock is perishable.
All shipments should be immediately and carefully unpacked and inspected on
arrival and then placed in proper storage if not planted within 30 days. Any
problems with the condition or quality or quantity of goods received should be
brought to our attention immediately. In the rare event that you should receive
a package from one of our carriers that is obviously damaged in delivery, please
report to the carrier the damaged package and refuse delivery, then call us to
inform us of the problem, and we will promptly ship you a replacement order.
